Mrs. Vann was a native of Johnston, PA. She will be remembered by her many friends and business associates as the founder and original publisher of Augusta Magazine. As the owner of Goshen Riding Academy, she taught horseback riding to many of August’s young people. She served on the board of Easter Seals, Girls Scouts, Rescue Mission, Greater Augusta Advertising Club, member of Chamber of Commerce. Past President of the Protestant Women of the Chapel, Member of the Thompson Hunt. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Marion is preceded in death by her husband Claude Vann and son James Vann. She is survived by her children Thomas Vann and Debi Mitton; five grandchildren and eight great grandchild.
