Mary L Manning

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11am in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Webb officiating.

Born in Emmanuel County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee Lamb and Lillie Mae Greenway Lamb. On January 2, 1943 she married the love of her life, the late Henry T. Manning. Then in August 1950 she gave birth to her only child, the late Darrell T. Manning, Sr. She was a member of Abundant Life Four Square Church on Tubman Home Rd since 1959. The best decision of her life was made in 1942, when she was baptized and accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as her personal savior. Mary touched many lives with her kind and generous spirit. She cherished time with family and friends and will be remembered and greatly missed.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Streetman, Ruth Manning, Tean Phelps; brothers, Royce Lamb, and Ray Lamb. Celebrating her life with us now are her grandchildren, Tommy (Danielle) Manning, Amanda Brooks; great grandchildren, Bradley Brooks, Madyson Manning, Marlie Manning, Tristan Goolsby, Mason Manning; many friends and family that loved her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 7-9pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Abundant Life Four Square Church, 1920 Tubman Home Rd, Augusta, GA, 30906.
