Mary Elizabeth Thigpen

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Liz Thigpen, 80, of Augusta, passed away at her home Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Thigpen and infant son Nolan Joseph Butch. Ms. Thigpen enjoyed cooking and spending time with her precious family. She was a remarkable seamstress and made clothing for her family all with her loving hands. She worked at Sanders Auto Elect, McElmurray's and H&R Block. She will be dearly missed. Ms. Liz is survived by her children, Debra Bargeron; Steve Rosier and Brenda (Richard) Jordan-Swartzlander; 3 sisters, Dorothy Rosier, Patricia Jaquette and Joyce (Howard) Goffman; 1 brother, Glenn (Diane) Wilson; 8 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 - 9 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM, Friday, May 31, 2013 in the Lumpkin Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Bargeron, Stephen Rosier, Chris Bargeron, Michael Rosier, Josh Rosier and Danny Rosier.
