Minnie Pearl Mitchell

She was a beautiful, strong soul, a beloved wife and mother, and her strength derived from her devotion to her family. She was viewed as the matriarch for her immediate and extended family, who were equally devoted to her. She lived a full and interesting life, during which she saw world wars, the birth and death of nations, the creation of new technologies, and growth and prosperity of several generations of her family.

She traveled the world, enjoyed learning other cultures, and made lasting friendships across the globe. She is survived by her three sons George, Kenneth, and Lincoln, her sisters Rexine, Mary Alice, Gail and Pinkie, her brother John Ivery, her grandchildren Rudy, Katie, Adam and Jacob, brother-in-law James, sister-in-law Martha and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home located at 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 also at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road.
