Norfleet H. Strother

MSG Norfleet Strother, 78, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Master Sergeant Strother retired from the United States Army after over twenty years of faithful, dedicated service to his country. He coached the Army Basketball Team for many years. He formerly served as a Casualty Assistance Officer with the Army also. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to Jazz music.

Mr. Strother is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ok Strother; three sons, Milton Strother, Anthony (Rosey Bowdre) Strother and Reginald (Israel) Strother; one beloved sister Laverne; and five grandchildren, Alexander, Elijah, Che, Kai and Aaliyah Strother.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held 1 PM, Saturday November 17, 2012 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to Mrs. Strother's church family, Full Gospel Church, Mr. and Mrs. Massey and Donna Graham for the love and support shown to them during this time.
