David L. Sell

12 September, 195410 March, 2021

David L. Sell, 66 of Aurora, passed away suddenly on March 10, 2021. He was a beloved family man and friend. David was born in Missouri in September of 1954 to Lewis and Gertrude Sell. At a young age his mechanical abilities became clear and he persued his passion of mechanical engineering. He left high school and became a mechanic, also enjoying fixing just about anything. David enjoyed being outside whether working, fixing, or another passion, talking to people and sight seeing. He also loved to hunt, and fish – though he would never eat the fish. As David grew older, so did his family, he happily welcomed his son Chris, and then adopted Dan. During his life he met Sandra, and his family grew a little more with her children, Cody, Shawn, Corey, Thomas, Angela, and Jessica. He was known to all as Dad. David is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Gertrude; step-father, Redick Torley; and siblings, Michael, Sharon, Virginia, and Brenda. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sandra; sons, Chris, Dan, Shawn, Thomas, Cody and Corey; daughters, Angela and Jessica; grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Carter, Sofi, Mckenzie, Sierra, Seanna, and Nicholas; and siblings, Carol, Michelle, Melinda, and John. David will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 11-1PM at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel. David will be laid to rest later.

David L. Sell

have a memory or condolence to add?

16 March 2021

My middle brother has always been a great guy to hang around with. We had so much fun when I went back to visit Savannah and family. We all loved him dearly and his passion for life. Our hearts are broken for his wife and children and all that loved David. We are sorry we can't be there for them. Our prayers and tears are shared from NC with the rest of the family in GA, TX and those in CO. God Bless us all.
