

Born on February 20, 1926 in La Concepcion, District of Bugaba, Province of Chirique, Republic of Panama, she left her native country and has traveled the world as a proud and devoted military wife and mother since 1954.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband William Earl Vest, parents Abel Jimenez and Petra Maria Gonzales de Miranda, brother Horacio Jimenez Gonzalez, sister Matilde Jimenez Gonzalez, daughter Wilma Vest, son John Alan Vest, and twin sons Ronald and Wilmer Vest. A gentle and beautiful soul, she will be missed dearly by sisters Evangelista Miranda Gonzalez de Melado, Aurora Esperanza Miranda Gonzalez de Ramirez, step-sisters Nivia Candanedo Gonzalez de Camacho, Colombina Candanedo Gonzalez, Olympia Candanedo Gonzalez de Ledezma, her seven surviving children, Donald (Chris) Vest, Elizabeth Vest, Linda Vest, Martha (Puuloa) Teves, William (Chris) Vest Jr., Jean (Mark) Garcia and Miriam Vest, 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was a devoted member of the Catholic faith, a long standing member of the Rosary Club, an avid bowler, and self-taught seamstress.
The family wishes to extend their warmest gratitude to Dr. Safely and staff of the University of Colorado Hospital, the staff of Berkley Manor Care Center, and Denver Hospice for their kindness and compassion while our mother was in their care.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 7th at Advantage Aurora Chase Mortuary, located at 1095 Havana Street, Aurora, Colorado 80010, beginning with Visitation at 8:30 a.m., Service at 9am, Reception at 10am, with committal service at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
