

An outdoor memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd., Littleton, Colo.
He was born on April 8, 1918, in Lyons, Neb. and spent most of his youth in Sioux City, Iowa and South Sioux City, Neb.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army as a staff sergeant radio operator and stationed on Guadalcanal in the South Pacific.
After the war, he met and married Iva Doris Thomas in Sioux City, Iowa. They relocated to Denver, Colo. in 1951 and were long-time residents of Littleton, where they raised their family.
Frank retired in 1982 after a 29-year career with Honeywell in Littleton.
Iva passed away in September of 2008.
Frank is survived by his children Frank Edward Steele of Centennial, Colo., Mark Allen Steele of Parker, Colo., Pamela Diane Harp of Alton, Iowa and Tammy Rae Laferriere of Franktown, Colo.; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Betty Frey of Fresno, Calif., Norman Steele of Brighton, Colo., Joann McInnis of Lynnwood, Wash., and James Steele of Lyons, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Iva Doris Thomas Steele, his parents James Alphonso Steele and Birdie Ellen Sparks Steele of Englewood, Colo., and siblings Ellen Reed of South Sioux City, Neb., Morene Brant of Casper, Wyo., and William Steele also of Englewood.
