Jared Michael DeHaan

Jared Michael DeHaan, age 25, passed away November 10, 2016 at the home he shared with his fiancé & family in Castle Rock, CO. He was born August 30, 1991 in San Diego, CA, younger of two sons of Kenneth and Vanissa (Thomas) DeHaan. He attended Wildcat Mountain Elementary School, Rocky Heights Middle School, and graduated from Highlands Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch, CO in 2010. He graduated from Metropolitan State University, Denver, CO, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2015.

At the time of his death, Jared was engaged to be married to Tiffany Nagao, daughter of Tammy Hart Nagao. They planned to marry on February 14, 2017 and start a family. Jared worked as a private investigator for Defense Investigators Group of Hanson, MA, investigating insurance fraud suspects. He was an avid athlete, playing football, in-line hockey and lacrosse during his grade school years, and was currently enjoying as much surfing and snowboarding as possible, with an occasional disc golf round.

Jared was a kind hearted, charismatic person, who was strongly attached to his family, deeply loved his fiancé and her family, and was loved by all.

He is survived by parents Kenneth and Vanissa DeHaan of Highlands Ranch, CO, brother Jason Robert DeHaan and sister-in-law Jamie Price DeHaan of Aurora, CO, fiancé Tiffany Nagao of Castle Rock, CO, maternal grandparent Ellen Gerhart of San Diego, CA, and paternal grandparent Dolores Rapoport of Carlsbad, CA.
