Lorraine Chavez died at home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2017. Lorraine was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado on September 6, 1931, the daughter of Serapio Piña and Benita Marin. She was raised in Avondale, Colorado and married Lloyd Chavez on July 21, 1949. She is survived by her husband Lloyd Chavez, 8 Children Trisha Williamson, Helen (Frank) Castro, Lloyd (Cynthia) Chavez, Lorretta Chavez, Silvana (Mark) Ruscin, Bill (Wendy) Chavez, Lisa Sherwood, Veronica Chavez. 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
