Marvin Daniel Cogar, 42 of Aurora CO, passed away April 13, 2020. Marvin was born in Medina, OH and at the age of 2 his Mom and Dad packed up and moved back to Aurora, Colorado where he lived the rest of his life. Marvin was truly a man that was completely selfless. He was a humble, kind, sarcastic, funny, LOVING, hard working man. He did any and everything for those he cared about. He was a guardian angel living amongst us. He was a devoted Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandson and Friend. He loved hard and gave with everything he had. His Hugs (as he would say “Bear Hugs”) are going to be missed. Marvin always checked in on his family making sure they didn’t need anything and that they were ok. Marvin’s sense of humor was one of a kind. He could make your cheeks and stomach hurt from laughing so hard. Sometimes you got stories or jokes, but you always got the funny side. He always teased but it never hurt your feelings and it always made you laugh or it was the truth and what do you do then. He usually had a nick name for you and out of all the people he talked to on a regular basis, I truly don’t know how he kept those names straight. Marvin’s infectious SMILE could light up a room and it lit up our lives. Everyone knew that SMILE. Marvin loved family cookouts, camping, the Cincinnati Bengals, working on cars, fast cars (driving fast) classic cars, being with family and friends but most of all spending time with his boys. He worked on cars with his Dad his whole life. Changing motors out of Ford pickups to body work on Nova’s and Firebirds. This was always bonding time for them.
Marvin graduated from Hinkley High School in 1996. He still had many of the friends he made while in school. He then went on to be a Construction Foreman. This was his career. While running many crews through out the years, he taught so many of his crews new skills that helped them succeed in the Construction world. Most of all he gained so many friends through his work.
Marvin welcomed his first son in February 2001 and later welcomed his second July of 2002. His sons Marvin and Noah were his world. They were his greatest joy.
Marvin is survived by his two sons, Marvin III and Noah Cogar, his parents Marvin and Carla Cogar, his brother Robert Cogar, sister Charlene Seib, Grandmother Maryanne Love, nephew Cole, and nieces Alyssa, Savannah and Cheyenne.
