Lady Shar Lightwing

Shar Lightwing was a joyous, hopeful, deviously funny, and sweet girl. She was a beloved daughter, sweet sister, and a great friend. She was given every opportunity to be jaded and unhappy in her 13 years, but Lady Shar knew something very few people did: the power of being joyful.

Lady Shar, was born in Merced, California to Shannon and Cassidy on April 9, 2009. She was brought up in a home where her talents and person were loved whole heartedly, and very much respected by her parents and siblings. She in turn shared the same respect and gave laughter and light back to them. Lightwing was a good name for her.

Lady Shar was incredibly smart, she taught herself astronomy on a whim because it sounded fun; and she sculpted a totally anatomically correct heart in front of people. She was off the charts smart for her age. Her siblings also loved how silly she was, and she could pull a good prank on just about anyone.

Lady Shar also deeply loved animals. She is pictured with a kitten, and was able to pet dolphins at Sea World. Sadly, a debilitating and dangerous heart defect claimed her life on July 1, 2022. It claimed her person, but never the joy or hope she had. That's what will lead her friends and family for the remainder of her life - the memory of a joyous, upbeat girl, who was always hopeful.

Lady Shar will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 2PM at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel in Aurora, Colorado.
