Agnes Stuart Graham Carrey was born on April 12, 1947 in Greenock, Scotland to parents Mary and James McParland. She died peacefully on August 23, 2026 at Mackenzie Health Centre after battling many complications brought on by diabetes.
In 1972, Agnes married Russell Carrey and they moved to Canada that same year. They had 3 children – Marie, Shona and Calum. Agnes worked most of her life in Blessed Sacrament School as an educational assistant. She took pride in the work that she did at the school and delighted in being around children.
Shortly after retirement, Agnes and Russell moved to Aurora and Agnes soon became very active in Our Lady of Grace church. Agnes also joined the King City Seniors travel club. She made friends easily everywhere she went and loved spending time with them, on outings, knitting together and just chatting the night away.
More than anything, Anges loved her grandchildren – the human and non-human ones! She leaves behind 4 grandchildren- Nicole, Cody, Victoria and Mason.
A Visitation will be held on August 30, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm at Thompson Funeral Home, located at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON.
