Born May 9, 1921, died January 26, 2012 at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Beloved wife of the late John Henry (Jack). Loving mother of James (Tina) and Don (Beatrice). Dear grandmother of Zachary Anthony and Laurie. Dear sister of the late William Walkington (Alex), the late Isobel (Clarence Baynes), and the late John (Jack) Walkington (Ethel). Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. From the farm in King Township to the Halifax shipyards, then home to Aurora where for 60 years she was active in community work with the Lions Club, and hockey and softball teams, as well as a homemaker and manager of financial matters at J.H. Chapman Blacksmith and Welding. Friends may call at the old family property, now Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Pkwy. S. (north east corner of Yonge St. & Industrial Pkwy. S.), Aurora, on Sunday, January 29 from 3-5pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, January 30 at 11am. Interment King City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinsons Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
