Dirk Theodor Koch

Dirk Theodor Koch, aged 62, of King, Ontario, passed away on April 8, 2026.

Born on August 26, 1963, Dirk grew up in King, Ontario. He was the beloved son of Gisela Koch and the late Theodor Koch, and the cherished brother of Marcus. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Grayson and Mackenzie.

For over 30 years, Dirk worked side by side with his parents and brother at Deltaplast, building machinery with dedication and skill. His passion for life was evident in his love of cottaging, boating, and travelling south to Florida. He especially cherished quiet moments savouring a great cottage sunset with those he loved.

Dirk will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, and his ability to find joy in simple pleasures by the water.

He is survived by his mother, Gisela Koch; his brother, Marcus; and his sons, Grayson and Mackenzie.

At his request, there will be no public funeral. The family will honour his memory privately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dirk’s memory to a charity of your choice, or simply that you spend time with loved ones and appreciate life’s beautiful moments.
