Hello my friend, as I sit here writing out holiday cards and missing you so I can't help but remember our long walks in the snow and talking about how old we were and boys. You were always  a inspiration and a strong person for me. As I watch my husband struggle with cancer I talk with you a lot. Miss your smile and our long talks and walks with dulce in our pockets.  Miss you hugs and kisses

May it comfort you to know that we share your grief over the loss of our dear Doreen.  She was a kind and generous person, beautiful inside and out with many good friends.  Words cannot describe the sorrow we all feel since she is gone.  She will be missed by all who loved her.

Thanksgiving is upon us, a time when we stop to reflect on those things and persons we are thankful for, one person is our dearly beloved friend Doreen.
Someone who was selfless, determined, quiet but fun loving and always respectful of those around her. She loved her tea in a pottery mug, her music was paramount in her life as was her cats and puppy Lola, of course her family and friends -not necessarily in that order! We are so blessed to have known her and left heart broken. Broken hearts are what give us strength, understanding and compassion.

Doreen, It is so difficult to say goodbye to your sweet and lovely spirit! We will always miss your presence at family get togethers! What a beautiful light touch you brought to our gatherings.  What loving grace you brought to our world. We will miss you and cherish your memory.  
Thank you Elaine for everything you have done that allowed  Doreen  to be more comfortable and doing so with such dignity. Thank you for being such a good and loyal friend.

             My Hero
A chance meeting some 50 years ago-two young lost souls trying to make their way in the world. An instant connection, kindred spirits of sorts became a life long friendship.
Hard times,fun times,family struggles and long hours we always managed to stay connected more so as our time became freer.
We were all looking forward to our retirements and more time to do all that we has planned through the years.
Doreen being the good soul she was, was needed elsewhere.
Rest in peace my dear friend. You fought like a warrior to the very end.
May your star shine brightly on us here below.
If love could have saved you, you would never had had to go.
Until we meet again "sweet cheeks" know that you will always be a part of us down here.
                So long for now.....
