Duncan Ogilvie Wallace

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Duncan Wallace. He left us peacefully on the morning of Friday, March 7th, at South Lake Regional Health Centre, surrounded by the love of his family.

Duncan was a devoted father to Ian, Glenn (Nicole), and Brian (Miyuki), who cherished his unwavering support and guidance throughout their lives. As a loving grandfather, he took great pride in the lives of his grandchildren. Duncan enjoyed watching and supporting Emma’s equestrian pursuits, fishing with Connor, Emmitts baseball and basketball games, and Hana’s spirited personality. These experiences brought great happiness to his life.

Born and raised in Scotland, Duncan carried the spirit of his homeland with him, passing on tales of its beauty and culture to his family. He was not just a father and grandfather; he was a storyteller, a mentor, and a friend.

Duncan is also survived by his beloved sister, Jean, his brother-in-law Bert (Lynda), and his nephew Steven along with many other family members in Scotland who loved him dearly. Each one carries a piece of his legacy in their hearts.

He has now been reunited with his wife of 48 years Maureen. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing that their enduring love has brought them together once more in eternal peace.

As we say goodbye to Duncan, we remember him for his gentle spirit, unwavering love, and the countless memories he created with us. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love will forever guide us, and his spirit will live on in the stories we share.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Duncan's memory, honouring the compassionate and generous man he was.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway S., Aurora, ON from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment to follow at Aurora Cemetery, Aurora.
