Passed peacefully at the age of 86 at MacKenzie Richmond Hill Hospital on September 16, 2023. Loving father to Jeffrey, Robert, Kimberly Gledhill (Robert) and Trevor. Cherished grandad to Shawna. He will be dearly missed by his brother Udo (Glenda). Loving uncle to his nieces.
Eberhard was born in Germany and immigrated with his family during WWII. They settled in Toronto and Eberhard would eventually marry and raise his children there. He spent his entire career working for Bombardier (formerly De Havilland). Eberhard enjoyed the simple life, he travelled a little and spent many happy times, camping with his family and hunting and fishing.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Diabetes Canada, or the Parkinson Foundation would be very appreciated by Eberhard’s family.
A Gathering Celebration for Eberhard will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.
