Margaret Bahen Hospice, in Newmarket, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves behind a legacy of her love for her family, friends and furry friends alike, including her beloved husband Perry Carroll, her fur baby, Libby, and her sister Pauline Jefferson (Jim Jefferson). Upon her passing Elaine was reunited into the arms of her dearly departed mother Dorothy Carroll (nee Romo). She was fondly known as Aunt Laney to her many related and honourary nieces and nephews, whom she lovingly referred to as her babies. Elaine was cherished by an abundance of close friends, many of whom were like family.
Throughout her life Elaine gave so willingly of her love, time, and positive energy to everyone she encountered. She was a sincere, compassionate, thoughtful and loyal person. She showed great talent and creativity through her visual arts and photography, and she was an avid music fan. Elaine demonstrated such strength and resilience in the face of adversity and was always there to be of support to others.
In memory of Elaine we will be adding a special butterfly plaque, named for her, to the memorial wall at the Margaret Bahen Hospice. If you would like to be a part of this special tribute please contact her sister Pauline for further details. Elaine will forever remain in our hearts and we will be eternally grateful for having her in our lives.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
In Loving Memory of Elaine Marie Carroll
(November 4, 1962 - November 27, 2024)
When tomorrow starts without me,
please try and understand,
that an angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand.
The angel said my place was ready, in Heaven far above,
and that I’d have to leave behind those I dearly love.
But when I walked through Heaven’s gates,
I felt so much at home, for God looked down,
smiled at me, and told me ‘welcome home’.
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me,
I’m right there in your heart.
