Erica was a valued member of the CFUW Awards committee when I was chair.  Her educational background and business sense were most valued.  My condolences to her family.

As her teaching colleague and friend for so many years, we had such  good times together, with lots of laughter and sharing of our feelings and hopes. She was a great role model for me, especially in her positive, "can do", attitude. I learned a lot from her.  Tony and I were especially fortunate to be invited into your home and so we had the great pleasure of getting to know John and Annette and Denise. So many special memories. She will never be forgotten.

I was deeply saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful person whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. Please know that my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.

May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you, and may the beautiful memories you shared with your mother bring you peace in the days ahead.

I met Erika at Teachers college and I recall being so impressed at her dedication and enthusiasm!

We met Erica and John much later in life and have not known them as long as many of you.  That said, when you are new in town, there is something very special about genuine kind and friendly people.  It is hard to imagine John and Erica as anything other than a caring loving couple. We learned their love story over many encounters at dinners hosted by mutual friends.  It was an enchanted tale of a strapping young soldier and a pretty girl at the end of the war, who had to navigate an angry and often hostile world.  Their success in Canada as a couple gives some insight into what may be accomplished by love, caring and hard work.

Erica will be greatly missed!
I had the pleasure of working with Erica at St. Brother Andre where we became friends. Our friendship continued after our retirement. We would get together to play canasta & I so looked forward to those days. Erica always had a story to share or a recollection of our early days together. She was always ready to listen to our stories and offer words of kindness and understanding. When we went to her house we knew we were in for a special treat and would often ask her for the recipes. When I drive by her street on Yonge I feel so sad because I know those special times are gone.
Erica had a presence in this world that will not be forgotten!

 Only beautiful memories come to mind when we think of Erica and you....the times we spent together.  Our children recall how welcomed they felt at your home when auntie Erica invited all of us over to play tennis. She made the children feel so special and turned a visit into an occasion.   In fact, we all felt  spoiled when invited to a dinner party at your home.  Erica would treat us to gourmet meals that were always unique....my favourite was her hazelnut semifreddo! She just knew how to take things to another level.  The combination of her kindness, skills, self discipline .....and which  along with her wisdom is what also made her  such a wonderful teacher.  I am grateful to have shared mutual conversations about life, family, work related issues with her.  Erica was also instrumental in getting our Investment 97 group up and running.  She has been a blessing in our lives......and I am so grateful for these memories ..... that remain for ever in my heart.

Dear John, Denise and Annette, when I think of Erica, it is with fondness, admiration and respect. I have often marveled at what a special lady she was, full of energy and optimism, and how she excelled in her every endeavour - her successful teaching career, her gracious entertaining, her talent for gardening, her athleticism on the tennis and pickleball courts and her commitment to her many friends. 
We had many fun times at the Greens, engaging chats by the fireside, always wonderful dinners in the dining room, get togethers out on the deck or up in the gazebo. Erica was a superb cook and an easy going hostess. She was a kind and generous friend, with a ready, warm smile and an easy laugh. It was a delight to be in her presence and my many happy memories of Erica will be cherished.  I will miss her very much.

I met Erica through pickle ball at the seniors centre, where she extended an invite to play at her home. She was a special person and she will be missed. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Erica was such a dear friend of mine.  I delighted in playing tennis with her, being toured around her magnificent gardens, and being on the receiving end of many wonderful dinners.

I have never met another person who showed as much genuine interest as Erica in hearing about how things were going.  She made you feel like you were the most interesting person on Earth.

She was also one of the most athletic and active people that I have ever met.  And she had the admirable ability to always identify the silver lining in any situation.

Erica was inspiring in so many ways and to be able to know her was a gift.  Her companionship will be deeply missed.

We are very sorry to hear of Erica's passing.
John and I first met on first day of work at the company we worked for, way back in March of 1965.  A long time ago. We became good friends and in 1967 we took John and Erica to Saskatchewan and introduced them to the prairies and farm life. A great trip and fond memories of that time. John and Erica  have remained life long friends, so we are shocked that we have lost Erica.
