It is with great sadness that the family of Fernando Aguirre Gonzalez announces his passing on December 2, 2024 at the age of 71. He passed away peacefully at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Fernando Aguirre Gonzalez was born on October 20, 1953 in Uruguay to parents Irma and Carlos Maria. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband to Anahi Acosta Nunez, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. He was also a proud father to Giovanna (Marcelo), Marcelo (Stefanie), Maria Fernanda (Sebastian), Nicolas (Eliset), and a beloved grandfather to Matteo, Lucas, Daniel, Vanessa, Joaquin, Federica, Tiago, Milo, Noah, Tatiana, and Teo.
Throughout his life, Fernando was known for his unconditional friendship, love and dedication to his family, and his generous spirit. His love for music, soccer and a delicious Barbeque was infectious, and he was happiest when spending time with his loved ones.
A celebration of life for Fernando will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8.. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Fernando to join them in remembering his legacy.
