

STORIMANS, FRANK – with tremendous love and sadness we announce Frank's death on December 1, 2013, in his 84th year at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket. Frank was born Dec 11, 1929, in Rotterdam Netherlands. Frank immigrated to Canada in 1953 and resided in Ontario for the past 60 years. Known by all for his determination and work ethic. He started, owned and operated his own manufacturing company, GPD Inc., for its initial 24 years. During these years Frank had seven patents for his various parts of the machines he designed.
Frank was an inventor and builder throughout his life. He has built his own small sail boat, go-kart, real model steam engines, rebuilt a 1954 Willys jeep and later in his life, built large wood toys for his grandchildren. Frank loved to fish and explore the area of the family cottage at Bass Lake both on the ground and in the air in his airplane. Frank was a Freemason and amateur radio enthusiast (VE3 PVJ).He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Hetty (nee Keyzer), son Ken and his wife Jessica, son Norm and his wife Valerie, granddaughters, Emma and Zara and grandsons, Eric and Hayden. Predeceased by his father Franciscus and mother Lucia (nee Guise), he is also survived by his brother Alex and his wife Julia and their sons John and Allan..
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, 905-727-5421 on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 1pm with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow. We ask that donations honouring Frank be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
