Gail Elaine Tsallis

Gail was born on June 29, 1944 to parents Gordon and Kathleen Huffman in Chatham, Ontario.

Guided by a kind heart and a quiet dedication to helping others, Gail spent many years as an Educational Assistant in York Region, where she touched the lives of many children and families with her nurturing, loving spirit.

Upon retirement, Gail’s adventurous soul led her to explore warm and sunny destinations, where she found joy in discovering new places and creating lasting memories with dear friends. She found comfort in the simple joys of life—outings and visits with friends, family gatherings, volunteering, and going on country drives where she cherished the journey as much as the destination. She held a deep appreciation for nature, always finding beauty and serenity in glowing sunsets, blooming flowers, and the gentle song of birds. She also had a tender love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Prince.

Gail will be remembered for her warm smile, comforting presence, and enduring kindness. Her generosity, good humor, and compassionate nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Gail is survived by her devoted partner Roger, her sister Marilyn, her children Mark (Agnes), Robyn (Michael), and Andrew (Katherine), and her cherished grandchildren Kalista, Nathan, and Owen along with many beloved family members and dear friends who meant so much to her. Her love and light will forever live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, her sister Elizabeth, and other dear family members who held a special place in her heart.

In memory of Gail, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Canada or to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.

Gail (Mom), you will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and laughter.

A Visitation will be held on January 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Thompson Funeral Home, located at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, Ontario, L4G6W8, Canada. Following the Visitation, a Memorial Service will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the same venue. A Reception will be held afterwards from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
