Gary was a top Information Technician at AT&T for 37 years and after all of his hard work he retired on his 55 birthday, “Freedom 55 Baby". Over the next 22 years, we took that saying to heart. We went on close to 20 cruises, visited 42 countries. We also went on multiple international trips: all of Scandinavia, Russia, Rio, BA, Falkland Island, and road trips thru North America and Northern Australia.
Gary was born to Cecile Arseneault and George Fahey in Chandler QC and grew up with his twin sisters Audrey and Doris. Instead of grade 9 music, he switched to computers. He did not like the attention being centered on him individually. He could be quite insular at times.
He was loved deeply by me and was adored by his family. He died in my arms, he went fast (aneurysm). Our years went by fast. I hope I go fast too.
Gary lived a happy, well-rounded life. I was fortunate to be with him as we barreled thru 40 years of connubial life arm in arm. Right beside each other, all the way. We had an absolute bash. He was the love of my life.

If I might quote W. H Alden
"He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong."
A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date.
