At the Southlake Regional Health Centre in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Patricia Leeson, brother to Gregory (Lorraine) Lusby, Pamela Dawson (Greg) and Barbara Lusby (passed 2009). Loving father of William (Kathryn) and Jonathon Drew, and to Laura and Shawn Leeson, proud grandfather of Jonah Lusby, and to Skye Neve and Jakob Leeson.
Born in St. John NB and identical twin with Greg, Gary was the eldest of four children. He brought joy and wonder to those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. His rich social life included those from his childhood in Kingston ON, from his career as school teacher in York Region, many years of work at the Ontario Jockey Club in greater Toronto and the Loughry family circle. An active participant in the hockey and golf community, Gary competed in various game shows to success and was well traveled in his later years.
A celebration of life for Gary will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with Words of Remembrance at 2:30 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8.
