Gerald "Gerry" John Doyle

Gerry was the beloved husband of Shirley. He was a devoted father to Lynn (Emilio), Melanie (Doug), and Stephen (Julie), and a caring stepfather to Jason (Kathy) and Sarah (Mark). He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, each a living continuation of the family he cherished. Gerry was predeceased by his parents, John and Florence Doyle, his sister Mary and her husband John, and by his brother Tom (Jean).

With a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility, Gerry was a proud member of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 353 for 60 years—an enduring commitment that reflected the integrity and dedication he brought to his life’s work.

In his later years, Gerry found enjoyment and fellowship through the Aurora and Newmarket Seniors Centre poker clubs, where time spent at the table offered both friendly competition and valued camaraderie.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, Chapel, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, L4G 6W8, on May 22, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel, at 1:00 pm. A Reception will take place afterward at Thompson Funeral Home in the Heritage Room. Cremation.
