Hilary Jackson

Hilary Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26th at Southlake Regional Health Centre after a graceful and courageous battle with cancer at the youthful age of 74. She is remembered by her husband, Peter; children, Krista (Shaun) and Cameron; grandchildren, Meaghan and Jackson, and her sister, Norma (Colin).

Born and raised in Leeds, England, Hilary immigrated to Canada in 1967. Hilary was a retired school teacher who dedicated her life to inspiring and encouraging others. She had a joy for life, an infectious laugh and a true love of sport. Hilary was an avid tennis player who passed her love of the game onto her grandchildren.

Hilary was devoted to the family and friends she loved, especially her children, Krista and Cameron. She possessed an energy and warmth that was singular in nature and will be greatly missed. Her generosity of spirit lives on in those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be offered from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Friday, September 8th at Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Parkway South) in Aurora. Hilary will be honoured through a memorial at 11am on Saturday, September 9th at the same location.
