He is survived by his wife, Jane, and his two daughters, Samantha and Victoria, and will be dearly missed.
Ian lived in South Africa for three years before coming to Canada in 1970, where he met Jane and they were married.
Ian was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
