It is sad to learn of the passing on of Jim.  I used to share the word from the family as i was still in early secondary but now 30 years have passed.  I was going through my album and i saw Jim and his wife's picture.  We thank God for Jim's life.  His ministry touched me like 30 years a go and I have a picture that the family sent me. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Kilpatrick. I have such fond childhood memories of so many after schools at the Kilpatrick home I couldn't count them all if I tried. Your family will forever hold a special place in my heart. Wishing your family peace and comfort now and always.

We will miss Jimmy's unique sense of humour....his "encouragement" on the first tee, his quest for treats,  baking and Xmas  cake.  The group in Panama City Beach  fondly remember Jimmy every time we get together.  Someone always has a Jimmy story to tell.

Such wonderful  memories of Jim , in Thornhill , at the cottage, and especially our golf holidays in Myrtle Beach. Jim was so excited to be there. Said it was like the first day of school.

We had a great journey, from the shores of Maine, at old Orchard Beach standing in the ice cold water of the Atlantic to the snow cover covered slopes of Mount Tremblant. Where you were in class 10 and I was in class 14 (you never let me forget) and yes you were a class "10" to all of us.
Our journey took us to 12 Mile Lake where we spent many an evening sipping GM around the fire and watching for the sun to come up over the lake.
Whether it was building your deck, taking the kids water skiing, or just sitting on your porch each morning, you always came up with something that made us laugh..
It was a great journey &  thank you for the pleasure of sharing it.

I remember lots of good times at the Kilpatrick house, playing in the basement, learning or 'trying to learn' how to waterski at the cottage, and so many more, all the while Mr. Kilpatrick was calling me "Sare Bare".  The name stuck with Jim and I was Sare Bare even at the age of 35.  You will be missed!

We were fortunate to get to know Jim through the marriage of our son to Kristy. Jimbo was always interested in how others were doing. He will be missed.

Lots of great memories with Mr. K.  He always declared "Here's the Stornoway Girls" whenever our little group was around.  He made the BEST latkes for Bonnie and me when we were kids.  He was very generous with opening the door to the cottage and the house to all of us.  And I even remember many rides in the blue station wagon with the wood panels! For some reason he always wanted to know "Taniguchi, how's your old hat?" And I have no clue what that means.

Tonja and family,  I wanted to extend my condolences to you in this time of sadness.  The last time that I saw Jim was when he and you, Tonia, came to my retirement lunch, back in the summer of 2007.  I was so very surprised, but, also very pleased to see Jim after so many years.  I remember Jim with great fondness.  He was a real character and I enjoyed working with him at Indian Affairs for many years, many moons ago.  He is not a person that you forget.  He had a wonderful sense of humour, but, could be ornery, if he was pushed the wrong way.  That's what I truly liked about him.  He was who he was, open and sincere. Lots of wonderful memories shared with you Jim.  You always seemed to know when I had something baking, as your nose would lead you to the back door “Rina are those muffins ready yet?” I'll never forget your kindness.
