Julie Margaret Radulovic

Julie was an artist, a talented musician, an incredible cook, a hard worker, but most of all, a mother. From the age of 20 years old, Julie dedicated her life to her daughters, Ashley and Nicole. While she had the ability and drive to pursue any one of her many talents, she instead chose to put everything she had into raising her daughters. She taught us to always work hard, to always be honest, and to always spread kindness into the world.

Julie had a deep love of the outdoors, gardening, crocheting and animals which evidently rubbed off on us kids. Our childhood is littered with memories of creating beautiful gardens out of nothing with her when we moved out of Mississauga to the farm, camping trips to Elora Gorge where we would just marvel in life out of the city, and things would always get a little rowdy around the bonfires at night, because Mom sure knew how to have a good time. Julie was so passionate about her many pets through the years which included hand fed and raised cockatiels, dogs, and cats. She currently had 2 cats; Jack and Bruce, who she loved more than life, and a cockatiel named Bernie, who she loved to have on her shoulder and sing tunes together. They miss their mama so much, but Ashley and Nicole are going to give them incredible homes.

While Julie was a stay at home mom for most of her daughter's lives, she would always jump on an opportunity to take on extra work to help support the family. When the family moved to the Holland Marsh in the early 2000s, Julie fully embraced the farm life and ended up working for many of the farmers in the area on combines, doing weeding, packaging, and any other tasks she could find. She was even able to get her youngest daughter, Nicole, to join her on the combine a few times during harvest. Later in her life, Julie worked many different jobs to support herself in any way she could. One common factor with each job she had was that she was the hardest working person there. Not only was she hard working and willing to support anyone she could, she also went out of her way to make everyone around her days better, whether it be with a smile or a gentle check in. Her daughters will miss the endless and unconditional support, love and security their mom always provided. Not to mention, her amazing and soul warming hugs.

We so deeply miss our precious mom, who brought joy to everyone she met and enriched every life she touched, big or small. Julie is survived by her daughters, Ashley Crowe and Nicole Radulovic, and son-in-law, Jason Crowe. Forever in the hearts of all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Stanley Johnson and Margaret Grogan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an animal rescue of your choosing. If you don't have a preference, consider Rescue Angels (Cat rescue based in Richmond Hill) as this is the rescue that brought her and Brucie together.

A Celebration of life for Julie will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.
