Born September 5, 1952, to William Hope and Lillian Hope (née Hughes), Karen grew up in Agincourt, Ontario. She later settled in Aurora, where she made her home for 47 years. Karen was a loving mother to Michael and Kathleen (Jacques), and a dear sister to Cecil (Brenda). She will be fondly remembered by her cousins, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, specialists, and nurses at the Southlake Regional Health Centre’s Stronach Regional Cancer Centre and Margaret Bahen Hospice, Hudson Regional Cancer Centre at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the S.R.T. MedStaff community care nurses for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, L4G6W8 on March 6, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, L4G 6W8 on March 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Cremation. Reception to follow in the Heritage Room at Thompson Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place in the Spring.
