We were friends for 80 years, even though we lived far apart.  Elaine and I miss you Lynda.

It has been a year since we lost you.  A lot has happened in that time.  It is still hard to believe you are not with us.  I will miss not getting your birthday wish this year.  Even last year a card arrived in the mail after you were gone.  It would have been our 80th birthdays this year.   
My thoughts are with you and Kirsten.  She has been so strong through everything.

Our Auntie Lynda was so loved and will be missed by many.  My sisters and I have such fond memories of celebrating Christmas Eve at her house with our hilarious uncle Brian.  The house was so cozy, it always smelled so wonderful and she was an amazing host.   She would literally run  around and getting people more drinks and food all night.  She never missed a refill and would even  pause while serving someone to pet one of her many beloved cats.
 She was small in stature but a mighty strong woman.   She would often swing her legs on a chair while telling a story laughing because they couldn’t touch the ground.  Having a drink (and most likely a cigarette) while all dressed up (think a bright leather jacket) wearing so much beautiful jewelry and bold lipstick  is how I will fondly remember her.  
 She loved unconditionally and always made sure the people around her knew it. Her family was everything to her.  She was always so proud of her daughters and grand babies.    Sending love to you all as you say goodbye to a wonderful woman.  Toot-a-loo as she would always say.

I was saddened to learn of Lynda’s passing. I have many fond memories of her spending time with our family when I was young. Wishing her family and friends as much peace as possible during this difficult time.

Lynda was a special person and friend in our lives for over 40 years. We met Lynda back in the late 70’s and we instantly became friends with her and Brian. A friendship was created!  We shared many wonderful times together from spur-of-the-moment times, planned times, travels (especially to Florida), family, and we were even known to have shared a cocktail or two. 
We will hold all of our fond memories in our hearts forever.

My condolences to Lynda's family and to all who loved her.  I have known Lynda all my life as our parents (Lynda, Marlene Anderson/Gostlin and I) were friends.   I have many pictures and fond memories spending summers at cottages from when we were toddlers to teenagers.  Though I have moved many times and now live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, it was always nice to see Lynda whenever I could.  In 2018, I visited Marlene and the three of us enjoyed going out for lunch to celebrate our 75th birthdays.   Lynda will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to Lynda's family.  I am so grateful that I was able to meet and spend a little time with this wonderful lady.  Lynda called me and left a voice message on Wednesday November 24 to wish me luck on my upcoming surgery on Friday November 26th as she knew how terrified I was.  Her call meant the world to me. 
 I enjoyed our talks and will miss her.  She was truly a lovely person. 

I will always remember the great intelligence,beauty, strength,love,care my Nanna was one of the greatest women on this earth she supported her family her whole life and friends. I remember every Christmas was so special for our family nanna,Linda McDonald would always make it so amazing and sitting at the big family table with her and Brian and i would truly feel the most happiness in my life. My nanna worked vary hard for the York region school board her entire life and help alot of people along the way. I will always hold her close to my heart i was her first grandchild and she was my life. Love you nanna always RIP

I have too many memories to share since Lynda & I have known each other for almost 80 years.  Our parents were close friends and our families spend many holidays and good times together.   Lynda always said we were like sisters and were there for each other.  
 As adults we had many fun times, whether it was just  a lunch in Unionville, a girls weekend away shopping or a wonderful Caribbean cruise.
Tomorrow is my birthday and it will be the first time I will not hear "happy birthday" from my friend.  She will be missed very much.

Please find enclosed a crazy memory at our cottage when Lynda & I decided to try a terrifying tubing ride.  

Lynda and I go back a long way.  We had lost contact and just recently we connected  on Facebook and we planned to get together after this Covid “thing”.   We had so much to reminisce and laugh about. 😢
My thoughts and prayers are with Lynda’s family.  May she Rest In Peace.
