Predeceased by his son Donald and grandson Donald Dekker. Beloved husband of Dorothy "Dot" for 66 years of marriage. Loving father to Gary, Gordon (Diane), Douglas (Janet), and Karen (Clare). Cherished grandfather to Tabitha, Amy, Bay, Penny, Jennifer, Rebecca, Damien, and Alex. Merritt will be remembered by his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life for Merritt will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with Words of Remembrance at 1:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8.
Memorial contributions in memory of Merritt may be made to a charity of choice.
