I have been thinking of y’all. Christian and Uncle Russell were recently here in Georgia. They have both kept me up on these sad events.  I remember how wonderful your parents were to Christian and Jessica. You are all blessed to have had such outstanding parents. Continue those good works and be God driven in your lives.

Remembering my dear Uncle Mick...a big, kind and generous man. Although he raised his family in Canada, I hold many happy childhood memories of him, my lovely Auntie Julie and my beautiful cousins, including our family trip to Canada when I was 7 (learning to swim in the pool, Cheerios for breakfast, sitting in the "trunk" of his car that looked like wood), a holiday to the Isle of Wight and the memorable gifts that we were sent from overseas (I still have the maple leaf purse and wooden Louise-shaped pencil holder!).

More recently, I was lucky enough to spend some time with UM when he visited my Mum (his sister) on his UK business trips. He was such a support to her when my own Dad passed away last year, while he was still navigating his own grief. Generous to the end. Rest in peace, dear Uncle, I will miss your presence in my life, and I will always have that little bit of extra custard for you! I feel certain that Auntie Julie was waiting at the bus stop for you xxx

Mike took a chance on me as I came out of Georgian college C.N.C  machining coarse 33 years latter I was still  working for him .
Mike always treated me and family with great respect, he witnessed my family grow as I saw his girls grow  .He was alway kind to my wife and 2 children

It is with shock, sadness and disbelief that I learned of Mike's passing. I first met Mike more than 30 years ago when I was a young engineer. We have been friends and colleagues ever since. He was a special person with many great qualities. Smart, thoughtful, loyal, witty, and caring to name a few. Over the years I was fourtunate to get to know his late wife Julie and his five daughters'. Juile and Mike were kind people, inviting me into their home many times for home cooked meals, and giving special gifts to my three children as each was born.  Mike and I could have endless conversations on any variety of matters, cars, family, technical subjects, politics, and of course Formula 1.

My deepest condolences to the Speller's and their associated families, he will truly be missed.

I will miss my Grandad very much. He created a beautiful life for everyone in his family. So many memories are because of his constant love and support. I’m so grateful and proud to call him my Grandad.

It is with great sadness that i received word that my friend Mike had passed. 
This was a man of great business instincts, coupled with the energy and ambition to succeed in everything he set his mind to. 
Most of all though, i remember Mike as a proud, caring  husband and father. I can't recall ever sitting down with Mike, when the conversation didn't lead to his gushing with great pride and enthusiasm,  about his family and particularly how proud he was of his girls 
It was my great honour to have worked on his behalf over the past 40 years. I will miss his keen sense of humour, a product, no doubt of his cockney roots.
Rest in peace my friend, you will be sorely missed by all whose life whose life you touched.

Mike and I were friends go 45 years and he was the most wonderful person anyone could know. 
He was always funny and yet focused on the numerous discussions we had with detail. He was extremely bright and creative and built a successful business while at the same time he nurtured a loving family. He will be greatly missed by me.

I have nothing but wonderful memories of the family as a young boy and into my adult life Mike and Julie were always so considerate, generous and genuine in my experience.

Mike, and Julie, may not be here physically yet their memory lives eternal.  Again, my heartfelt sympathies to all the family and dearly loved friends.

It’s true, you can’t choose your siblings; you get what nature gives you.  Nature has been incredibly good to me and given me two wonderful brothers, for which I will always be deeply grateful.  Michael and I have always been close, and there are many stories to tell.  More recently, since Julie’s death and that of my dear husband, we have both helped each other through our traumas and have regularly had video WhatsApps.  We talked about everything under the sun and with our spouses both gone in 2024, we re-ignited our closeness.  I will miss him so much.  As well as this, I feel so blessed that I have been able to see him several times in the last year or so when he came to England to visit his newly acquired business in the UK.  I will miss these visits so much.   
I know Michael made his life in Canada, and what a wonderful life it was.  I know he loved Canada and the opportunities it offered, which he was able to take and make the most of.   However, even though he was there for nearly 60 years, I still thought of him as English; he still had a mostly English accent (tomatoes excluded!); he still loved Dundee marmalade sandwiches, and of course Heinz baked beans and Cadbury’s dairy milk chocolate.
My heart goes out to his five beautiful daughters at this tragic time of loss.  I hope that time will ease the pain, although I know grief never goes.  Sending my love to all of you.

Grandad meeting his second great-granddaughter, Lottie, at just three weeks old. It was a warm summer day in August and we had spent the afternoon on the back deck. I will always remember how he admired her little features.
