Pat Zaino

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Pat, treasured husband of Gina, cherished son of Bianca and Bruno, wonderful brother of Paula and Tony, and a positive nurturing role model for nephews Matthew and Daniel. On March 28, 2020, at the age of 54, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Newmarket, Pat passed away peacefully. We are comforted in knowing that he is now at peace with the Lord after fighting this relentless disease. Pat was a man of strong morals and values, highly spiritual and God-loving, compassionate, an inspiration to so many and taught others how to live life with a smile and remember to never give up no matter what life throws your way. Despite what he was going through medically, Pat maintained a healthy sense of humour and large doses of positivity, always taking on challenges with strength and tenacity. He was often called the salt of the earth. Pat was always there to lend a hand if anyone needed help and never expected anything in return. He was an energetic man full of life who loved to hunt, snowmobile, bowl, fish, and was forever dedicated to his Montreal Canadiens. He also loved his food – Italian pastas and meats, Filipino dishes and sushi. Pat will be sorely missed by everyone, but his legacy will live on. Given the current situation, we are unable to have a proper funeral at this time. We are planning to have a celebration of his life at a later date. If family and friends so desire, it was Pat’s wish that memorial tributes be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Prostate Cancer).
