He will be deeply missed by his wife Margery of 66 years, son Bryan (Cathy), daughter Karin (Chris), grandchildren Samantha (Zain) & Stefan (Sabrina), and Kristina (Rory) & Carlton (Tiffany), his great-grandchildren Jaxson and Rowyn; his brother Ralf and all of Ron's relatives in Germany, and all his family and friends here in Canada.
He was predeceased by his daughter Della.
Ron will stay forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten. His great sense of humour, his strength, his kindness, his compassion, his resilience, and his patience will always be remembered. He was a true gentleman.
Ron was born in Oldenburg, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 at 19 years old. He was never without a job and was the hardest working man, always determined to provide a beautiful life for his family here in Canada. His longest employment of 35 years was with Magna International as a Production Manager at Unimatic and Normark Manufacturing.
His love of gardening and racing pigeons with the Far North Club brought him great joy for so many years. He enjoyed watching sports and Formula 1 racing.
His biggest joy in life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always brought smiles to Opa’s face. He loved everyone so much and always made sure everyone was happy, healthy, and smiling their way through life. Rest in peace you sweet soul. We love you more!
Donations in Ron's memory may be made to Margaret Bahen Hospice or Southlake Cancer Centre.
In keeping with Ron's wishes a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
