I fondly recall the Nineco days and those golf games were always a bonus.

My sincere condolences to the Doerner family on the loss of Bob. A tremendous person and a good athlete.
My connection to Bob goes back to Newtonbrook HS where we were team mates on the football and soccer teams.
Bob was a gifted golfer who introduced me to the game playing at the Don Valley Golf Course.

I was saddened to learn of Bob's recent passing. My Willowdale connection with Bob goes way back to public school days, junior high, & then of course on to the new high school called Newtonbrook. Bob was an excellent athlete, & both of us played on the Newtonbrook senior football team where Bob quickly established himself as a leader & strong competitor. Although I didn't communicate with Bob on a regular basis, I always looked forward to seeing him at the annual Newtonbrook golf/dinner event & having an opportunity to chat with him & rehash fond old memories. Bob was truly one of the "good guys" & will be missed by many.  To the Doerner family please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.   May Bob rest in peace.

Bob…. This was one of my happiest days, You and Kathy were such a special part  and of our wedding.  Micahel and I are so sad you are gone.  Hope you are hitting them straight up there ❤️

Pat and I are saddened to hear of Bob's passing and extend our sincere condolences to all of the family.

We became friends of the Joe Doerner family while living on Steeplechase Avenue and have many fond memories of Bob joining our weekly tennis matches.  Bob was a formidable opponent and always contributed to great memories on and off the court.

Our friendship with Bob continued within the Beacon Hall community and we will miss his contagious smile.

Our thoughts are with Bob's family and friends during this difficult time.

What a shock to be informed of Bob's death. Just a couple weeks after the NSS Founders gathering on Asccension Day.  My sincere condolences to Bob's whole family - especially to Dani to who Bob introduced to me at the NSS gathering. I can imagine Bob putting, driving and chipping with the angelic hosts on the heavenly links.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Bob’s passing.  Bob truly was a special person—kind, genuine, and always had a way of making you feel special.  We will always cherish the memories of our time together.

May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you, and in knowing how many lives Bob touched.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Doerner family.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the entire Doerner family.  Many of us know Bob through his love of golf and the time he spent south in Naples Florida playing golf at Hideout Golf Club.  Bob was a member at Hideout for 24 years and during that time won both the Club Championship and Senior Club Championship as well as many other events. 
Although Bob was truly an exceptional golfer he will be remembered more for his quick wit, generosity and warm heart.  During Bob's time at Hideout, he was also a regular on “The Porch” after playing in the club organized golf event called the Dogfight. On The Porch Bob helped solve many of the world’s biggest problems while enjoying an adult beverage with ten – fifteen of his fellow members. Bob was jokingly considered one of our “International Porch Members” and always offered a Canadian prospective to our lighthearted discussions.  
To say Bob will be missed is an understatement.  His smile and laugh were infectious!  Rest in peace Robert, we will see you on the back nine……

The most wonderful man. Was so good to me as a youngster. Always called me “The Punk”. We had so many great times and laughs on the golf course. I won’t ever forget him welcoming me into the Big Boy game at Beacon Hall. Bob, Bill, Steve, Daryl, Gren, Doug were like uncles for me growing up. Very happy and funny uncles.  RIP to the originator or the Punk Bet. Miss you Buddy!!

My sincere condolences to Robert’s Family.  When I was  in a dark space in my life, I landed in Bob’s office at Newtonbrook Block and Supply for an interview in my tennis gear no less apologizing profusely.  With a gregarious grin Bob threw his feet up on the desk with runners on and said, ‘don’t worry, we are very relaxed around here!’  I got the job and they all made me feel part of the family.  I shall never forget Bob or the Doerners for their kindness!
