With great sadness our family announces the passing of Saara Jokinen on June 24th 2013 at the great age of 91. At the same time we rejoice that God called “Mummi” home peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her daughter, granddaughter and a close friend. Loving wife of the late Aarne Jokinen and beloved mother of Marjatta Suurnakki (Canada) Risto Karvinen (Sweden) and Reino Karvinen (Finland). She was the youngest daughter of 7 siblings of the late Otto and Anna Aurala and proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Our Family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their care and support. A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, July 2nd at 1:00 pm at Aurora Cemetery gathered by immediate family and close friends. A Memorial Celebration and gathering at the residence of Tapio and Marjatta Suurnakki in Aurora will follow at 2:00 pm.
