Dear Catherine and Steve:

We share in your sadness on the loss of your amazing mom and dear, sweet friend of the Chapman family.  In our mind's eye we see Susie as a warm and generous woman and our memories of visits over the span of many decades will never fade.  Sue was my mom's oldest and dearest pal with a friendship that spanned some 73 years.  I believe they were 18 when they met.  We appreciated very much your inviting us to your cottage in September so that Sue and Connie could see each other one last time.  

And the memory of her smile and the twinkle in her eye will remain with us forever.
