Thomas Roger Armstrong

Born in Windsor, Ontario, on March 17, 1942, Thomas was the son of Thomas Cornelius and Meryle Katheryn (Kersey) Armstrong. He worked at Thibodeau-Finch Transport LTD for many years. Above all, Thomas, or Roger as he was called by family members, was known for his strong work ethic, his booming laugh, contagious smile and his willingness to help anyone.

He was a devoted and loving father. He took great pride in coaching little league football. He developed a great passion for riding his motorcycle later in life and never missed a chance to participate in the “Ride for Dad” in support of the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation.

Thomas was preceded by his loving wife of 34 years Jacqueline Ann (Jackie) and their daughter Kimberly Anne Ferry. They leave behind (son-in-law) Don Ferry and children Zachary (fiancée Nicole), Megan and Matthew Ferry. He was also predeceased by his sister Carole Mae and his brother Bradley James.

Thomas is survived by his son, John (Lorraine) and their children, Paisley, Jack (fiancée Tatiyaana) and Sahara Armstrong. He is also survived by his great grandson, Myles Thomas Armstrong. Thomas leaves behind sisters Marva, Deborah, Sharell and brother’s Robert and Lawrence.

A small Celebration of Life will be held on May 29, 2026 at 1:00pm at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, Ontario. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in his honour.

Interment to follow Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:30 pm at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, 111 Russel St. W. Thornbury, Ontario.
