Vince Mior

Vince Mior, age 74, passed away on July 22, 2026. He will be remembered with deep affection as a beloved husband, father, nonno, and brother—someone whose steady honesty and quiet generosity shaped the lives of those around him. Vince's presence was a constant source of strength and care for family and friends alike.

Vince is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janet; his son Derek and Derek’s wife Sylvia; his son Chris; and his grandsons, Oliver and William. He is also remembered by his brother Werter and Werter’s wife Dina and sister in law Carla and her husband Lenny. Vince will be missed by his nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

A man of straightforward integrity, Vince carried himself with sincerity and fairness, offering help in practical ways and giving freely of his time. His love of playing and coaching hockey reflected the same values he brought to everyday life—commitment, respect, and a joyful spirit that welcomed others in and made them feel they belonged.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON, L4G 6W8, on July 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 14485 Jane St, King, ON, L7B 1A3, on July 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be live streamed at https://ipickart.com/stream/VinceMior.

A Reception will follow at the King City Arena & Community Centre, 25 Doctors Ln, 2nd Floor, King City, ON L7B 1G2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
