He started a wonderful new life in Israel where many of his dreams came true, including having a second family of football players with whom together they won a national championship.
Known for his leadership, passion for sports, writing and poetry and zest for life, he was a loyal, sensitive and forever supportive friend, brother, uncle and son. He will be greatly missed and is survived by his family: Rosie and Sami Schmidt; Noa, Eddy, Jack and Gali Levy; and his loyal companion, Zeus.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
