Adrianne René Moreno, originally of San José, California, passed away in Austin, Texas on October 16, 2022. She was only 63-years old and had fought a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gerona Catherine Scarff and Thomas Frank Scarff.

She passed in the loving presence of her daughter, Lisa Moreno, and Lisa’s devoted partner Mike Mitchell.

A dedicated pharmacy technician for over 40 years to her employer and ultimately dear friends, the Leiters, Adrianne assisted and touched countless members of the community – and those throughout the world – with her vocation.

An avid lover of animals, dogs in particular. At any given time, Adrianne would have seven dogs in her home in Willow Glen, California. This would include her own “littles,” as she referred to her gaggle of small dogs, and also caring for the pets of her friends.

A memorial Mass will be held on January 20, 2023 at St. Clare’s Parish, 725 Washington St., Santa Clara, 95050 at 12:30pm. Following the Mass, we will host a luncheon of family and friends at Il Fornio, 2757 Augustine Dr. #120, Santa Clara, 95054, from 2-4:30pm.

At this time, we have reached capacity for the luncheon. Thank you for all who have RSVP’d. The response was amazing and is a testament to the love so many had for Adrianne.
