Alene Ross Wilkinson went home to be with the Lord Jesus in peace, love and happiness on the morning of September 21, 2008. She lived a joyous, spirit-filled life and was a proud true Texan woman: independent, determined, loving, kind, patient, artistically creative and gifted in sewing and painting. Mrs. Wilkinson lived to be nearly 101 years old. She was the youngest of seven children. Her parents were long-time Austin residents, Elmer Ellsworth Ross and Jessie McKenzie Ross. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Audrey Wilkinson, their children and grandchildren; her daughter, Martha Jane Wilkinson Therrell and her daughter. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Oakwood Cemetery.
