Alfredo P. Cruz, age 95 of Austin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. He was born on Saturday, May 16, 1925 to Pablo and Lydia Cruz in Manor, Texas. Attended UT prior to enlisting in the service (WW II). Retired from HEB Grocery Store. He was a hard worker and loved working on his plants, he was blessed with a green thumb. Loved to dance, married Pauline and together they loved to party with family and friends. He later met and married Judy Sanchez and she too loved to dance. Dad came home to be with his children, to get to know them better. With him coming home we learned to care for him and love him even more.
My dad is in heaven now with his beautiful angels, our mother, Pauline Cruz; daughters, Yvonne Garza, Rose Mendoza; and his second wife, Ms. Judy. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
Alfredo is survived by his seven children, Margo Rosales, Gilda Reyes, Diane Mendez, Bernice Astran, Agnes Limon, Fred Jr., Ricky Cruz; twenty two grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; sister, Chelo Saucedo.
We would like to thank brother-in-laws, Jim Limon and Joseph Schneider for helping us with our father.
