

Allie Glen Wesson Stoeltje was born to Thomas Doyle Wesson and Fannie Fay Sparks Wesson in Holland, Texas on June 17, 1911. She died in Austin, Texas on Sunday, September 24, 2006. She was educated in public schools in Oeniville and Temple, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School in 1929. She was married to Dr. Joe Stoeltje. They lived in Nederland and Beaumont, Texas where he practiced medicine. After his retirement they moved back to Temple where they lived until his death in 1982. After Dr. Stoeltje's death she moved to Austin. Her parents also preceded her in death, as did her brothers Wiley W. Wesson and Estel L Wesson of Temple, her brother Col. Thomas Euel Wesson of Killeen, Texas, her sister Fern Wesson Ford of Lafollette Tennessee and her sister Ethel Wesson Buell of Pasadena, Texas. She is survived by her two sons Mack and Joe Stoeltje, their wives Janet Lee Stoeltje and Jenny Peterman Stoeltje of Austin, by her Grandchildren Lisa Stoeltje-Barrett, Stephanie Barrett and Gretchen Stoeltje of Austin, Steve Stoeltje of Austin, Texas and Rachael Stoeltje Anderson and her husband Chris Anderson of Bloomington, Indiana and by her Great Grand Children Mackenzie Stoeltje-Barrett of San Francisco and Calvin and Nicholas Anderson of Bloomington, Indiana. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Florence Stoeltje Bodine from Colorado City, Texas and by her brother-in-law D.A. Buell from Pasadena, Texas. She is survived by nieces and nephews and their families who include Ann Wesson Shrewsbury, Harker Heights, TX; Sydney Wilson, Houston, TX; Susan Buell Westbrook, Pasadena, TX; James Merritt Sedberry III, Seattle, WA; Bruce Buell, Dallas, TX; Linda Bodine Stokes, Temple, TX and Mike Bodine, Sterling City, TX. Her family and friends remember her regal bearing, her ever present smile and her optimistic outlook on life. She took great pleasure in taking her home-baked desserts to her doctors, her children and to her friends. She also enjoyed quilting and she made sure all of the family received a quilt. She was known in Beaumont for her sewing and modeling her "high fashion" clothing. She was active in the Baptist churches she attended, the Eastern Star, Lions auxiliary and in the medical auxiliaries in her active years. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday the 27th, at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, officiated by Dr. Ed Wright. A Graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday the 27th, at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Temple, Texas. Pall bearers will be Steve Stoeltje, "T" Jones, Truman Breed, Hub Ingram, Tom Pugh, B.J. McDonald, Arnold Saltzman, Bob Ward, John Jefferson and Joe Roady.
