   I was 10 years old the first time that I met Kathryn over 70 years ago.    Marvin brought her home to introduce her and took me out for a coke with them to tell his little sister that he was marrying her.  I loved her from the beginning.  She had the most beautiful hands and naturally, as a young girl, I fell in love with her nails and rings! 
    Through the years they were stationed in various places with the Air Force and in the early 1960's retired in Austin. Gerald and I became even closer to them and enjoyed their companionship.  After Marvin passed away, Kathryn became a sister and close friend  instead of a sister-in-law.  We enjoyed frequent, sometimes daily, telephone conversations, sharing books, and just visiting for hours.
   We are going to miss her smile and laughter.   Rest easy, sweet Kathryn.  We love you, Zoanna and Gerald
