Amanda Danielle Oliva, 36, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2025, after a brave and unwavering fight with illness. Born in Galveston on August 13, 1988, Amanda lived a life as bold and beautiful as her spirit.
Amanda was full of life—bright, funny, affectionate, and endlessly creative. She had a natural ability to light up any room with her energy and warmth, and her adventurous nature meant she was never afraid to try something new. Whether she was welding, playing the drums, crafting, or getting muddy on an off-road trail, Amanda approached everything with enthusiasm and heart.
She also had a deep love for learning and connection. She taught herself Spanish to communicate more closely with her in-laws and was always eager to expand her world and embrace those around her. She was affectionate and giving, always offering kindness, laughter, and strength to those lucky enough to know her.
Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Oscar Oliva; stepdaughter, Dionicia Josefina Oliva; her parents, Larry Ray Antley and Sandra Paulette King Howard; her siblings, Gideon and Jack; and many cherished friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Daniel.
Above all, Amanda was a fighter. Through every hardship and challenge, she pushed forward with unmatched courage and grace. Her spirit, humor, creativity, and that special spark she shared with every cat (and human) she met will never be forgotten.
