Amira was known as Mia to her family and friends. Mia graduated from Cedar Creek High School. Mia was adored by her sisters, who loved playing with her hair and babying her. She knew when she was surrounded by family, and she especially loved the visits with her Popo. Mia taught her family how to love completely, patiently, and wholly.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Anthony Hernandez Jr., uncle Robert Hernandez, grandmother Gracie Ann Garza (Tita), and her beloved big sister, Isabella Anais Delgado Samilpa (Bella).
She is survived by her mother Amy Samilpa, Victor Vera (stepdad), sisters Iliana Samilpa (Anthony), Analisa Hernandez, Aracelli Delgado Samilpa, and Alayna Vera, niece Amari Acevedo, nephew Nicholas Hernandez, and grandfather Raymond Samilpa.
She is also survived by her grandparents Johnny and Blanca Hernandez, and brother Christopher Fonseca.
Mia is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Public visitation and Rosary will take place from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6th. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at 11:00 am.
