Anita Guerra

Anita V. Guerra, 85, of Austin, Texas entered heaven on September 15, 2014, into the presence of Jesus and is in the arms of her husband and loving parents. Anita was born on September 17, 1928 in Bluff Springs, Texas. She went to heaven two days shy of her birthday.

She is survived by one sister, four brothers, eight children, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Anita was a devoted wife, mother and sister. Her family was the light of her life. She was sweet and gentle soul who had a strong work ethic. Her faith in the LORD and our Blessed Mother Mary was very strong.

The family wishes to express appreciation for the care given to Anita during her last days at Seton-Brackenridge Hospital by the doctors and the wonderful nursing staff. Special thanks to her caregiver, Susanne Martinez and also to Paul Ramirez from the H.A.N.D. organization for the services they provided.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Avenue with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, Monday, September 22, 2014, at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas with interment to follow at Maria de la Luz Cemetery.
